PHONE SNATCHING: Police arrest two suspected Shila boys for threatening to slaughter personnel in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police command has arrested two suspected “Shila” boys for attempting to snatch a mobile phone from a police officer.

The incident occurred when the police officer unknowingly boarded their tricycle from Unity Bridge, formerly known as Police Roundabout, towards the former APC Secretary in Nasarawo Jimeta.

Instead of taking him to the intended destination, the suspects diverted to Ribadu Square and threatened to kill the officer.

During the journey to Ribadu Square, one of the suspects removed the officer’s phone from his pocket and then engaged in a physical altercation with the officer.

As a result, the officer struck one of the suspects, leading to his arrest. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the arrest and assured that the suspects, who have confessed to the crime, will be charged and prosecuted in court.
