PDP Holds Adamawa Southern Senatorial Primaries, Affirms Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza.

 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday conducted its Senatorial Primaries in Adamawa stste. At the Southern Senatorial District, party members and stakeholders, elected and affirmed Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza as the party’s senatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The exercise, held in Numan, brought together party leaders, aspirants, and supporters from across the Southern Zone in what participants described as a peaceful and united gathering.

Members unanimously endorsed Lamza’s candidacy as the sole aspirant for the ticket, a move party members said reflected growing unity and confidence within the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections.

A PDP governorship aspirant, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, formally moved the motion for Lamza’s affirmation, while Philip Kenan, a House of Assembly aspirant for Shelleng Local Government Area, seconded the motion.

Speakers at the event reaffirmed their commitment to party supremacy, internal unity, and collective support for all PDP candidates during the electioneering period.

Party stakeholders also described the gathering as a significant moment of consultation, reconciliation, and political realignment within the Southern Zone, pledging to work together toward securing victory for the PDP in Adamawa State.

The event attracted prominent PDP leaders and supporters from across the zone, further signaling intensified political mobilization ahead of the 2027 polls.
