“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne Frank.

“Don’t look for big things, just do small things with great love” – Mother Teresa

The context of the above quotes are the philosophies and driving force of Dr. Emmanuel Nachamada Musa in his Humanitarian Goodwill.

As the world celebrates the World Humanitarian Day (WHD) 2024, to commemorate the United Nation’s global event, the event is celebrated August 19th every year to pay tribute to aid workers who dedicated their lives to humanitarian services and also remind the world that humanitarian service is a collective task upon every human being. This year was not an exception, with the campaign tagged “#ActForHumanity, which focused on confronting the normalization of attacks on innocent civilians, including humanitarian workers, especially is conflict ridden zones.

And Nigeria today is not an exception, we are bedeviled with a handful of conflicts and insecurity, which goes further to include poverty, food insufficiency and displacement from original settlements. Hence the people are in dire need of intervention and care.

As we celebrate humanity and humanitarian services this year’s August 19, states, local and international organizations and even individuals have all celebrated in their own ways; some in words of appreciation for humanitarian workers and services, some in education and enlightenment on global trends, others in global media propaganda; making speeches on big global screens, neglecting the vulnerable and poorest of the poor in their celebration. But Emnamu foundation have indeed given humanity a pleasant memory that will be hard to erase, especially in the hearts of beneficiaries, giving the people a purposeful livelihood and businesses.

Emnamu Foundation, for their love and drive in sharing kindness and showing care to the disadvantaged in societal, and its quest to play part in this global event, the founder Dr. Emmanuel Musa have launched series of life touching and changing events to commemorate the day in its own way. The event includes livelihood intervention, business empowerment and reward for humanitarian organizations and workers.

At an event which was held at the Malkohi IDP settlement camp in Yola, on Monday, 19th August, 2024, the president, Dr. Emmanuel Musa, rolled out campaigns, which is part of the organization’s efforts and contributions to humanity and the commemoration of 2024 World Humanitarian Day, tagged “Act for Humanity.”
The event which was one of its kind featured the distribution of 200 utility vehicles to humanitarian organizations for ease of humanitarian activities and easy and speedy access to humanitarian locations, where people are in dire need of interventions.

The celebration also witnesses the foundation’s N500 Million Entrepreneurship Support Initiative, aimed at empowering 1,000 grassroot entrepreneurs. The event rolled out the disbursement of the N500 Million as seed capital to the beneficiaries, with each beneficiary getting a whooping sum of N500,000, as a booster to establishing and improving their businesses and livelihood, to improve national GDP and reduce poverty. The beneficiaries, who were selected from the 21 Local Government Areas of Adamawa state were full of joy and promised to utilize the funds received to establish business, improve their living standard, and also assist others, being an example they promise to emulate from the founder of the foundation.

The President/Founder on his path, aligning with the humanitarian theme of 2024 emphasized that empowering people at the grassroots is a sure bet and the most effective way to fight poverty, grow family wealth and state economy. He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously for the intended purpose, for the benefit of themselves and people around them.

The foundation also distributed 200 bags of rice, with cartoons of noodles, vegetable oil, seasoning and other non-food items to the Malkohi IDPs in Yola to reduce hunger, improve the livelihoods of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), and cushion the effect of economic hardship and food shortage.

Dr. Emmanuel, also donated the sum of N2 Million to the Association of Persons Living with Disability (PLWD) in Adamawa State. This gesture is in the spirit of the celebration and the kind heartedness of the founder to carry everybody along and his commitment in supporting the vulnerable groups in society.

Musa, in his quest to be part of the remedial project of fixing our already destroyed environment, launches the Emnamu Foundation “Action Against Climate Change”, with its proposed plan of planting 100,000 trees to combat the devastating effects of climate change; prevent the environment from desertification, erosion, over exposure to sun and to improve the production of clean oxygen in the atmosphere.

The foundation has already planted over 50,000 trees from January to August 2024, with plans on top gear to plant additional 50,000 trees before the end of the year. Dr. Musa in his part during the flags off campaign emphasized the importance of protecting our environment for the benefit of humans, animals and the organisms in the soil.

In just a day’s celebration, an organization have rolled out multiple life changing interventions that did not only benefit the immediate beneficiaries but including people around them and nature itself – “the environment”. This year, even nature and the environment have been impacted with the touch of Dr. Emmanuel Maus’s humanitarian benevolence. It takes a man with a large heart to deliver such massive humanitarian gesture, in a time when men’s plan is to acquire wealth and acquire even more fortune, even at the detriment of the down trodden in society. Dr. Emmanuel Nachamada Musa, Emnamu; you are indeed a global phenomenon; touching lives in every move you make, including the nature in which all of us survives.

Congratulations our Humanitarian Icon, for you every day is a Humanitarian Day.
