Adamawa Govt. and USAID Reiterates Commitments for more Developmental partnership.

Adamawa State Deputy Governor, professor Kaletapwa Farauta has received a delegation from the United States Agency for International Development USAID and reiterates the state government’s commitment to invest in the education sector.

Highlighting the importance of education in strengthening development among nations, the Deputy governor explained that for this reason, the Fintiri administration prioritized education.

Professor Kaletapwa Farauta commends USAID for their numerous intervention in the state, particularly in basic education, and appeals to them to always extend their capacity-building training to teachers across the twenty-one local governments.

She further emphasized that the Fintiri-led Administration is more passionate about the safety of children in school and lauded the development partners for their component in school safety, saying all hands must be on deck for its sustenance.

Earlier speaking, the leader of the delegation from USAID, Doctor Nuhu Ibrahim, who is the Education officer of USAID, explained their mission to the state, which include seeing the State government’s agenda in areas of education and public financial management.

He stated that Adamawa state has received a lot of capacity building in terms of budget planning, school safety, and tools harmonisation, assured the state government of USAID continues support to ensure that pupils are safe while in school.

Doctor Nuhu Ibrahim commended Governor Ahmadu Umar fintiri for making the state the first to adopt the National Teaching Qualification Development Framework.
