The Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Doctor Stephen Dami Mamza, has confirmed one hundred and Eighteen parishioners of Saint Paul sangere futy with the sacrament of confirmation with a call to them to be courageous and zeal to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza made the call during his pastoral visit to Saint Paul Catholic Church’s Sangere futy in Gerie local government.
Bishop Dami Mamza explained that the sacrament of confirmation conferred on the candidates changed their status to adulthood, blessing them to preach the gospel of the lord more than before.
The Catholic Bishop of the Yola diocese stressed that preaching the gospel of God is not limited to the priests and the religious alone but also those who have been baptized to actively participate in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

Speaking on the economic hardship challenging Nigerians, Bishop Mamza acknowledged the hardship people are facing and encouraged Christians in the state never to lose hope but to pray and have faith and keep the hope burning.
Bishop Mamza added that it is his hope and prayers that the leaders in power will be touched by the feelings of humanity to reduce the difficulties and burdens people are passing through for the betterment and growth of the Nation.

Highlights of the pastoral Sunday visit were songs of praise by various church groups, prayers and Thanksgiving.
