Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management Inducts New Members.

Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has emphasized the significance of continuous professional development for members of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management.

Her remarks were made during the 74th investiture of fellowship and induction of new members of the institute, which took place at the College of Nursing and Midwifery in Yola. The event centred around the theme “Corporate Treasury Management Best Practices.”

Professor Farauta urged newly inducted members to contribute their wealth of knowledge and experience to the advancement of the institute. She highlighted the criticality of acquiring new knowledge and skills for professional growth.

Representing the president and chairman of the council, Professor Ibrahim Danjuma underscored the relevance of the theme, emphasizing that businesses must embrace global best practices in financial resource management to attain their objectives.

He extended congratulations to the new members, outlining the manifold benefits and privileges associated with ongoing professional development.

Professor Danjuma also underscored the institute’s strong emphasis on ethical conduct, articulated in the institute’s code of ethics and professional conduct, along with a mechanism for penalizing non-compliant members.

He extended felicitations to the newly appointed fellows, a professional membership grade reserved for individuals with extensive post-qualification experience, knowledge, and skills, particularly in top management positions.

The event also witnessed the conferral of the icon of diplomatic leadership and management award upon the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Yahyaji Mijinyawa, followed by the investiture and leadership award for Professor Ibrahim Umar, the vice-chancellor of Modibbo Adama University in Yola, and the decoration of other fellows.
