DG Zira charges training beneficiaries on self-reliance*

The Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency, PAWECA, in Adamawa, has successfully concluded the training of one thousand five hundred households across the state.

The training, which is in partnership with the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, comprised of women folk drawn from the two hundred and twenty-six political wards across the state, coached on various skills acquisition with a focus on Small and Medium Enterprises.

In a remark at the closing ceremony, the Director GeGeneral of Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency, PAWECA, Doctor Michael, ira, expressed delight with the success of the training programme.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the skills they learned to enhance their income and provoke self-reliance.

Doctor Zira, who explained that empowering women and youths is among the top priorities of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, expressed resolve to maintain the posture in that regard.

Corroborating, the state women leader of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Doctor Suzan Zira appreciated the sponsors of the training and challenged the participants to justify the training by prudently engaging in an economically viable production.

Skills learned included local seasoning, Vaseline, and liquid fertilizer among others.
