
Very Rev Fr Dr Williams Awoshiri of the Catholic Bloc of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Taraba State has emerged Chairman in the just concluded elections that took place today the 22nd-May-2025 at the CAN Secretariat here in Jalingo the Taraba State Capital.
Welcoming the delegates and other members of the CAN of different Blocs to the occasion, the Special Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas on Religious Matters, Very Rev Fr Patrick Sunday Muke called on all Christians to be united in other to move the Christendom forward and to harmonize their differences into palpable and easy to adopt religion for all.
Representing the National Chairman of CAN, at the occasion, Rev Dr Mrs. Uzoaku Williams tasked both the outgoing and the incoming officials to work hand in hand so as to achieve the Association’s goals.

In his acceptance speech, the incoming Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Taraba State Chapter, Very Rev Fr Dr Williams Awoshiri while commending the past officials for a job well done, urged all Christians not to remain adamant but to accept and work with the new officers so as to pilot the affairs of the Association to greater heights.
Those elected are Chairman, Fr Dr Williams Awoshiri, Vice Chairman, Rev Samuel Ibrahim Jatau, and Rev Dr Nelson Dinah as the Secretary. Others are Rev Samaila Tsapta as the Ass. Secretary, and Apostle Adetiba as the Treasurer of the Association.
The incoming Chairman, Fr Dr Williams Awoshiri reiterated his commitment to proclaim and witness to witness to Christ and in deepening the word of God in the lives of Christians in the State.
