
The National Body of the Bituku Development Association has organised a civic reception in honour of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Adamawa State University, Mubi, Professor Marcel Agah.
The ceremony, held at Central Primary School, Gulak, in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, attracted prominent sons and daughters of Marghi extraction from within and outside the state.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. John Wurani Kwadzai, described the association as a unifying platform that brings Marghi people together to deliberate on strategies for sustainable development and the promotion of peace and unity among the Marghi nation.
Mr. Kwadzai explained that the civic reception was organised to celebrate illustrious sons of the soil who have distinguished themselves in various fields of human endeavour, adding that Professor Marcel Agah was selected in recognition of his remarkable contributions to education and public service.

The Vice-Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, represented by the Dean, Faculty of Arts, Dr. Nathaniel Luka Bobby Gimba, commended the national leadership of the Bituku Development Association for identifying with the university community and honouring one of its dedicated staff members. He described Professor Agah as a committed academic whose passion continues to add value to the growth of education in the state and urged him to sustain the tempo.
In his response, Professor Marcel Agah expressed appreciation to the Bituku Development Association for the honour, describing it as a motivation to do more in the service of humanity. He pledged to intensify his commitment to effective service delivery.

Professor Agah also called on Marghi sons and daughters to continue supporting the policies and programmes of the Adamawa State Government under the leadership of the Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, fondly referred to as the “Fresh Air Governor.”
The event was climaxed with colourful Marghi cultural displays, as well as goodwill messages from notable personalities.
