Fintiri Felicitates Muslims, Christians on Ramadan and Lent

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim and Christian faithful across the state as they commence the sacred observances of Ramadan and Lent.
In a message released on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor called on residents to use the period of fasting, prayer, and reflection to deepen their faith, strengthen family ties, and promote unity within their communities.
Governor Fintiri noted that the coincidence of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and the Christian Lenten season presents a unique opportunity for adherents of both faiths to learn from one another and appreciate their shared values.
He urged citizens to embrace the virtues of patience, humility, forgiveness, and service to the less privileged, stressing that these principles are central to both Islamic and Christian teachings.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to peace, religious tolerance, and harmonious coexistence in Adamawa State, the governor prayed that the sacred periods would usher in spiritual renewal, good health, and prosperity for all residents.
“Both faiths emphasize fasting, prayer, and charity, promoting spiritual growth and compassion,” the governor stated, encouraging the faithful to allow their prayers and good deeds to inspire collective progress and sustainable development in the state.
Governor Fintiri wished all residents a Ramadan and Lent filled with peace, reflection, and divine blessings, expressing hope that the seasons would foster greater understanding and unity among people of different faiths.
