A prominent political figure in Adamawa State, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians and residents of the state, urging them to embrace the enduring values of sacrifice, unity, and love as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
In a statement released to mark the Easter celebration, Vunobolki described the season as “a sacred reminder of the cornerstone of the Christian faith — the triumph of life over death and hope over despair.”
He emphasized that Easter commemorates “the one perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind,” noting that Christ’s death and resurrection remain the ultimate demonstration of divine love and salvation.
Quoting from Scripture, he reaffirmed that “Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of the world,” underscoring the spiritual significance of the season for believers worldwide.
Beyond its religious observance, Vunobolki called on citizens to reflect deeply on the moral lessons of Easter and translate them into daily living.
“This season is more than mere celebration,” he said. “It calls for reflection and action. We must imbibe the Christ-like virtues of sacrifice, humility, and love for one another.”
Referencing John 13:35, he added that love remains the defining mark of true discipleship and a necessary foundation for societal harmony.
