Adamawa 2027: Demsa Stakeholders Back Tangwami’s Governorship Ambition



‎A high-level stakeholders delegation from Demsa LGA of Adamawa State has paid a solidarity visit to Felix B. Tangwami at his residence, declaring support for his governorship aspiration.

‎The delegation was led by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, James Iliya, alongside other political stakeholders from the area.

‎Speaking on behalf of the group, its leader, Peter Bukido, said the visit was aimed at encouraging Tangwami and reaffirming their backing for his ambition.

‎He described the aspirant as a leader with the capacity, experience, and grassroots connection required to govern the state effectively.



‎Bukido added that Tangwami’s political journey and track record position him as a strong contender, urging members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support him in the forthcoming primaries.

‎The delegation also presented Iliya as its preferred candidate for the Demsa Constituency seat in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, expressing confidence in his leadership and competence.

‎Also speaking, former Chairman of Demsa Local Government, James Okossi, highlighted Tangwami’s contributions to grassroots development, noting that the people of Demsa can attest to his efforts over the years. He called on party members and residents of the state to support his candidature.

‎In his remarks, Iliya reaffirmed his support for Tangwami, describing him as an experienced statesman with a strong record of service.

‎He also spoke on his own aspiration to represent Demsa Constituency in the State Assembly, stating that his experience, particularly under the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has prepared him for effective representation.



‎Responding, Tangwami thanked the delegation for the visit and their expression of support, reiterating his intention to contest for the governorship. He said his ambition is focused on providing purposeful and people-oriented leadership.

‎He pledged to build on the achievements of the current administration while advocating fairness, transparency, and unity within the party ahead of the primary elections.
