**Fintiri Hosts Chess Guinness Book Record Holder in Yola**

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of the youth through sports. He made this statement while hosting Tunde Unokoya, the Guinness World Record holder in chess, who was visiting the state for official engagements at the Government House in Yola.

Represented by Dr Edgar Amos, Chief of Staff at the Government House, Governor Fintiri congratulated Tunde Unokoya on his record achievement, noting that this honour is not only for him but for all Nigerians.

He emphasized his administration’s passion for building youth capacity through education and sports, highlighting ongoing efforts to complete the construction of a world-class Olympic standard stadium and implement various sports policies and programs in the state.

Governor Fintiri expressed his commitment to partnering with Tunde Unokoya to harness the talents of sports enthusiasts for their benefit and society at large.

In response, Tunde Unokoya stated that his mission in the state is to provide a sense of belonging to the less privileged through sports. He commended Governor Fintiri for his significant investments in human capital development and urged the state to continue investing in the sports sector to foster unity and progress.

Earlier, Vivian Ibrahim, the convener of the chess program at the IDP camps, thanked the state government for its support. She mentioned that this initiative aims to help over ten children from the IDP camps and promised to sustain the program, making it an annual event.
