Fintiri Compensates Owners of Ngurore Proposed Trailer Park Site.

In line with his commitment to infrastructure development across Adamawa, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved compensation payments to the owners of the proposed Trailer Park site in Ngurore, Yola South Local Government Area.

The total amount disbursed to the landowners was sixty-one million six hundred and seventy-one thousand naira.

During a presentation of the cheque to the beneficiaries, Hajiya Rabi Ahmad, Managing Director of the Adamawa Investment Company and Property Limited, represented the governor.

She was joined by Chief Joab Haggai Shama, the Commissioner for Land and Survey. They both praised Governor Fintiri for his relentless efforts to transform the state.

Hajiya Ahmad explained that the trailer park will be constructed to modern standards and will include facilities such as a hotel, a police station, a fire service station, and a restaurant, among others.

She emphasized that upon completion of the project, both the Ministries of Transportation and Justice will develop regulatory guidelines to ensure the effective operation of this modern facility.

The Managing Director noted that Governor Fintiri had previously established a committee involving the Ministries of Transportation and Finance, the Adamawa Investment Company, and the Bureau for Public Procurement, with the Nigerian Shippers’ Council serving as the regulatory body.

In support of this initiative, Chief Joab Haggai Shama, the Commissioner for Land and Survey, revealed that similar projects are in progress. He mentioned that they recently visited the Hong Local Government Area to secure a site for the same purpose.

Chief Shama pointed out that the completion of the trailer park would not only generate revenue for the state but also guarantee the safety of trailers coming into Adamawa.

Describing Governor Fintiri as a dedicated leader, the commissioner prayed for divine protection over him.

The Chairman of Yola South Local Government, Alhaji Salisu Usman Malkohi, represented by his deputy, Saratu Samuel, expressed gratitude to the government for selecting their local government for this pilot project.

The Chairman praised Governor Fintiri’s generosity and pledged their unwavering support for his initiatives.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohammed Jingi Yahaya thanked the Governor for launching such an impactful project in Adamawa.

He remarked that since the Gongola era, Adamawa State has not had a development champion as notable as Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The cheque recipients included Tokke Property Limited, who received twenty-six million one hundred and twenty thousand naira, and Mohammed Yahaya Jingi, who received thirty-five million five hundred and forty-two thousand naira.
