Bekaji Youths Elect First Female President to Lead Their Association

The Bekaji Youth Association has made history by electing and inaugurating its first female president, Ms. Praise Dennis, along with other executive members, to lead the association for a two-year term.
The ceremony took place at Bekaji Primary School in Jimeta. In his welcome speech, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Kwakaduma Wedelo, commended the youths for their maturity during the election process and urged them to support the new leadership.
In her acceptance speech, Ms. Praise Dennis expressed her gratitude and promised to serve with transparency, integrity, and determination. She emphasised the importance of community safety, female inclusiveness, youth empowerment, and sanitation initiatives, including a planned community cleanup exercise.
Ms. Dennis assured the attendees that she would work collaboratively to achieve meaningful development in Bekaji. Goodwill messages from various stakeholders, including the Bekaji Women Association and former leaders, showcased unity and support for the new leadership.
The oath of office was administered by Barrister Kanimale Jacob Ndawala.
