The residents of the Dashen community in the Jada Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State were filled with joy as Binos’ hospital-on-wheels arrived to provide free medical services to those suffering from various illnesses.
During a one-day medical outreach held on Saturday at the Dashen Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC), nearly 1,000 community members with different health challenges received free treatment.
The medical team conducted surgeries including hernia repair (herniorrhaphy), appendectomy, hydrocelectomy, and lumpectomy, alongside other major and minor cases. General services provided included hypertension management, diabetes care, and treatment for pelvic inflammatory disease, malaria, typhoid fever, and anaemia.

Dr Adediran Charles Adekola, a renowned general surgeon and consultant at Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH), Yola, reported that the team treated 972 cases and performed 23 surgeries. Any unique cases were referred to MAUTH Yola.
Patients who received treatment were also provided with medications, and the outreach was praised for its smooth execution and the high turnout of community members seeking medical assistance.
The Lead Consultant, Dr Jama Medan, highlighted Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe’s unwavering commitment to improving the well-being of his constituents through the provision of quality free medical services. He emphasised, “If one person is sick, it affects the whole community. A society cannot progress beyond the health status of its people, which is why health is one of Senator Binos’s top priorities.”
Roseline Esthon, the Facility Manager of PHCC Dashen, expressed her gratitude, stating that she was thrilled to have these medical services brought directly to her community. She commended the professionalism displayed by the medical team, calling them the best she had ever worked with.
Dr Jama reiterated that all medical services provided were free of charge, encouraging the residents of Dashen to take advantage of this opportunity for their health and the betterment of the community. He also thanked the District Head of Nyibango-Dashen for mobilising his subjects to benefit from the outreach.

Alh. Ahmadu Baba Kebugangso, the District Head of Nyibango-Dashen, commended Senator Binos for recognising the community’s needs and supplying them with numerous free medical services. He noted that this was the first time in the history of the Dashen community that such a medical outreach had taken place for the benefit of the residents. The traditional leader referred to Senator Binos as the “People’s Senator” and assured him of significant support in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
He urged his community to cooperate with the medical team to allow for better service and expressed gratitude to Senator Binos for prioritising the well-being of his constituents.
Among those who benefited was Mal. Abubakar Dashen, who had suffered from a mysterious ailment for 12 years. He was treated and cured during the outreach. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude: “I lack words to thank Senator Binos. But God in heaven will reward him and grant him the desires of his heart. Finally, I am free from this disease.”
Another beneficiary, Mrs Beauty Ayuba Momsiri, who had struggled with a hernia for years, underwent successful surgery and left the outreach without health challenges. Before departing, she expressed her thanks to Senator Binos: “I want to sincerely thank you, Senator, for this gesture. I will never forget you for the rest of my life. God in heaven will continue to bless you and grant you more foresight.”
