
Most Reverend Dr Stephen Dami Mamza of the Yola Catholic Diocese has taken a significant step towards empowering the future of 150 youths by providing them with starter packs upon completing a one-year skills training program.
This initiative made possible through the support of Mission Take Heart, is designed to equip young individuals from various internally displaced persons (IDP) communities with valuable skills in tailoring, hairdressing, and small-scale business management.
Bishop Mamza stressed the importance of this empowerment, aiming to help these youths achieve financial independence and self-sufficiency.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to fully embrace this opportunity, reminding them that they are part of a select group who have been given this chance.
“Mission Take Heart has offered substantial support, including the provision of 30 sewing machines, two hairdressing kits, the payment of school fees for two students, and the training of 114 youths in grain businesses, Bishop Mamza Stated”
Bishop Mamza expressed his sincere gratitude to Mission Take Heart for their continued support, noting the transformative impact it has had on countless lives over the years.
“This collaboration represents a hopeful and constructive approach to creating sustainable livelihoods and fostering resilience in the community, Bishop Mamza noted”
Among the beneficiaries, Yakubu Bitrus and Ruth Elisha from Fombina camp shared their heartfelt appreciation for the training and starter packs provided by Bishop Mamza and Mission Take Heart.

They committed to using this opportunity to enhance their own lives and contribute positively to their communities.
This is coming at a time when the economic challenges are biting the larger population of Nigeria.
