In a remarkable demonstration of solidarity and dedication to community welfare, the Bwatiye Youth Wing Worldwide (BYW), led by its committed President, Comrade Edmond Mosoti, has initiated an important humanitarian mission to support the communities of Rigange and Waduku in the Lamurde local government area of Adamawa State.
This effort follows recent violent attacks that have left residents traumatised and in urgent need of assistance. The leadership of BYW not only expressed deep sympathy for the victims but also assessed the damage and provided essential relief to help alleviate their suffering.
During this impactful outreach, the Youth Wing distributed vital food and relief supplies, including bags of maize, garri, cartons of Maggi seasoning, and mosquito coils. These thoughtfully selected items aim to address nutritional needs and health concerns, particularly for vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly.
During the outreach, Comrade Edmond Mosoti emphasised the Youth Wing’s commitment to peacebuilding, humanitarian advocacy, and community development. He encouraged the affected communities to remain strong in the face of adversity, affirming that the Youth Wing is dedicated to collaborating with relevant authorities to promote long-term security and sustainable recovery.
“We cannot remain idle while our people endure hardship,” Mosoti stated. “This moment calls for unity, compassion, and collaborative efforts. We urge the government, businesses, and compassionate individuals to join us in supporting relief and rebuilding initiatives.”
Additionally, the Youth Wing took this opportunity to request that security agencies increase their presence in at-risk communities and appealed to policymakers to prioritise the rehabilitation and reintegration of displaced individuals.
In a heartfelt response, Kpana Rigangun commended this timely humanitarian gesture, recognising its importance in demonstrating how youth-led organisations can significantly contribute to fostering peace, resilience, and social responsibility across Nigeria.
