NYSC ORIENTATION: Work Hard to Improve your entrepreneurial skills- Prof Kaletapwa

Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta encouraged the 1860 Batch B stream two corp members deployed to the state to take advantage of the skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programs to become self-reliant.

She made this statement during the opening ceremony for the 2024 Batch B stream two corp members deployed to Adamawa State at the NYSC orientation camp in Damare.

She described the newly deployed corp members as strategic partners in the execution of the state’s policies and programs, particularly in education, healthcare, agriculture, and rural development.

The deputy governor also advised them to be security conscious, emphasizing that the orientation course would prepare them physically and mentally to contribute to the progress and development of the nation.

The Fintiri-led administration’s sensitivity to hard times and economic realities was highlighted by Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, who mentioned the purchase of seventy-five seater vehicles to ease the corp members’ movement within the state.

She reiterated their administration’s commitment to creating a conducive environment and urged the corp members to add value to their assigned roles.

In his welcome speech, the state coordinator of the National Youth Service Corp, Mr. Ateli Samson, commended the governor for his support and the ten thousand monthly allowance given to corp members serving in the state, and he urged the governor to sustain this support.

Mr. Ateli Samson also expressed gratitude to the governor for approving the renovation and construction of the camp facilities damaged by rainstorms.
The NYSC coordinator further advised the newly deployed corp members to take part in all camp activities.

The oath of allegiance was administered by the state chief judge, Justice Hapsat Abdulrahman, represented by Justice Ishaku Yakubu.
