The President of the Pene Da Bwatiye Development Association Worldwide, Chief James Iliya, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence among all Bwatiye communities and their neighbours, viewing this as a fundamental aspect of his leadership agenda.
Chief Iliya characterized the Bwatiye people as compassionate, peaceful, and welcoming, emphasizing that the Association is deeply rooted in its cultural values that promote mutual respect, understanding, and harmony.
These remarks were made during a courtesy visit to Ardo Bawuro Hri at Kedemure Village, situated in the Demsa Local Government Area, following the tragic death of his son, the late Buba Ardo. This incident arose from an altercation involving Sunday Jackson, which subsequently resulted in a Supreme Court judgment.
In extending his condolences to Ardo Bawuro Hri, the elders, and the entire Kedemure community, Chief Iliya offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and requested that God bestow strength upon the family to endure their loss.
Additionally, he underscored the long-standing peaceful relationship between the Bwatiye and Fulani communities, urging both groups to continue their collaborative efforts for the advancement and development of their people.
Chief Iliya expressed gratitude for the peace-oriented programs and policies of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in Adamawa State and called upon all communities to align themselves with these initiatives to promote sustained development and unity.

In response, Ardo Bawuro Hri conveyed his appreciation for the visit and, as a devout Muslim, stated that he had forgiven all parties involved in the events leading to his son’s death, viewing it as Allah’s will. He assured that his community, known for its peaceful disposition, has already taken measures to prevent the recurrence of such unfortunate incidents.
Prayers for the repose of the deceased’s soul were offered during the visit.
Prominent members of the delegation included Wakili Fulani Bachama, Alhaji Maikano, an elder of the Bwatiye community; Ismaila Murey, Youth Leader and Liaison Officer of the Bachama; along with other esteemed leaders of the Association.
