Senator Binos Dumps PDP, Joins ADC

Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, Senator (Rev) Binos Dauda Yaroe, has decided to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after resigning from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) some time ago.

Addressing the press over the weekend, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe attributed his defection to the ADC to his extensive consultation with stakeholders and constituents across the nine Local Government Areas (LGAs) that make up the Adamawa Southern Senatorial Zone.

The Senator stated that he would not risk remaining in the PDP, as the party is now divided against itself, noting that the ADC is the strongest opposition party in the country capable of unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his words, “I have decided to join the ADC because the leader of the party is from my constituency. The former Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has assisted me on several occasions in my political journey, and I would be ungrateful not to follow his example. One thing with me is that I don’t forget people who have been good to me, and Waziri Adamawa is one of those people.

We cannot afford to allow Nigeria to run a one-party system. We must have an opposition willing to challenge any anti-people decision by the ruling party. And I’m optimistic that the ADC will take over power in the country come 2027. With the calibre of people in the ADC, victory is assured.

With the likes of His Excellencies, Senator David Mark as the National Chairman and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, along with other top personalities, the ADC is strong enough to take over power. I cannot simply follow the bandwagon to the ruling APC; I am old enough to decide for myself and in the best interest of my constituents.”

While calling on his supporters to register on the platform of the ADC, Senator Binos Yaroe disclosed that he intends to contest for the Senate in the 2027 general elections.

It is also noteworthy that Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe is among the nine (9) Senators from PDP, Labour Party and other minor parties who have joined the African Democratic Congress, making the ADC a significant threat to the ruling APC in the country.
