Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the Senate seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The forms were submitted on Thursday in Abuja by Dr. Umar Duhu on behalf of the governor, amid growing calls from supporters and party members urging him to join the race ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Governor Fintiri, who last week confirmed his decision to contest for the Senate seat, said the move followed extensive consultations with political associates, stakeholders, and supporters across the state. According to him, his decision was in response to the wishes and aspirations of the people.
He expressed optimism that the APC would secure victory in all elective positions during the elections, assuring party loyalists of his continued commitment to unity, grassroots mobilization, and issue-based politics.
The governor also stressed the need for peaceful political engagement, urging supporters to remain focused and committed to the overall success of the party at all levels.
