The Yola Electricity Distribution Company extends its deepest sympathy to the government and people of Borno State following the devastating flood caused by the embankment failure and overflow from Alau Dam.
In a statement signed by the Communication officer, Blessing Tunoh, YEDC is aware that the disaster has led to significant losses, displacement, injuries and reports of missing persons.
“Our thoughts are with all those affected during this difficult time.
We urge everyone to stay safe, follow emergency guidelines and cooperate with local authorities working to restore normalcy.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Borno State and express our sincere hope for a swift receding of the raging water and a speedy recovery for all affected”
